Donation, Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last Updated: 1 September 2026
At Edufun Foundation Trust, transparency, trust, and accountability are at the heart of everything we do. We are deeply grateful for your support—every contribution enables us to drive meaningful change across education, healthcare, hunger relief, environmental protection, and community welfare.
This policy outlines how we handle donations, cancellations, and refunds across our website, online payment gateways, bank transfers, and other official channels.
1. Understanding Your Donation
All contributions to Edufun Foundation Trust are voluntary gifts made to advance our charitable mission and public-welfare initiatives. Your generosity directly powers:
• Education & Skill Building: Empowering children and youth through learning.
• Hunger Relief: Nourishing vulnerable individuals and families through food security programs.
• Healthcare & Welfare: Providing medical support, community care, and aid to persons with disabilities.
• Women Empowerment & Rural Development: Building self-reliant, resilient communities.
• Environmental & Animal Care: Tree plantation, environmental conservation, and animal rescue and treatment.
• Emergency Assistance: Delivering immediate relief during humanitarian crises.
2. Cancellation of Donations
Because donations are immediately allocated toward our ongoing social programs, successfully processed contributions generally cannot be canceled or returned due to a simple change of mind.
However, we understand that errors happen. We will consider cancellation and refund requests in genuine cases such as technical errors, duplicate charges, or unauthorized transactions.
3. Refunds & Exceptional Cases
As a general rule, donations received by Edufun Foundation Trust are non-refundable. However, we review refund requests compassionately and fairly on a case-by-case basis under the following circumstances:
• Duplicate Charges: You were accidentally billed more than once for a single donation.
• Unauthorized Transactions: A payment was processed without your knowledge or consent.
• Technical or Banking Errors: An incorrect amount was debited due to a payment gateway glitch or processing error.
• Unrecorded Contributions: An amount was debited from your account but failed to record properly on our end.
• Legal Requirements: Any situation where a refund is mandated by applicable law.
If approved, refunds are processed back to the original payment method used, subject to standard processing timelines from banks and payment gateways.
4. Failed or Incomplete Transactions
If money was debited from your bank account but you did not receive a confirmation receipt from us, please reach out to us right away with your payment details. We will gladly coordinate with our payment partners and banks to investigate and resolve the issue promptly.
5. What to Do in Case of Unauthorized Transactions
If you suspect an unauthorized transaction was made using your payment credentials, please notify your bank or card issuer immediately. Additionally, alert our team at info@edufunfoundation.in so we can assist in investigating the activity on our end.
6. Responsible Stewardship of Funds
We hold ourselves accountable to ensuring your donation creates the greatest possible impact:
• Targeted Contributions: When you donate to a specific campaign, we make every reasonable effort to apply your funds directly to that cause.
• Reallocation of Surplus or Unusable Funds: Occasionally, a campaign may reach its funding target, become impractical to execute, or face legal or environmental delays. In such rare cases, Edufun Foundation Trust reserves the right to reallocate those funds to a closely related, high-impact charitable initiative consistent with our core objectives.
• Operational Integrity: Where permitted by law, a reasonable portion of donations may support essential operational, administrative, compliance, and monitoring expenses required to run our programs safely and effectively.
7. In-Kind Donations
We deeply appreciate physical contributions, including educational supplies, food, clothing, medical goods, and veterinary supplies.
Due to the practical nature of physical goods—which are often distributed quickly to beneficiaries, shelters, or partner communities—in-kind donations cannot be returned once accepted. We ensure all usable, safe, and relevant in-kind gifts are deployed quickly to where they are needed most.
8. Donation Receipts & Tax Benefits
• Tax Receipts: Where eligible by law, Edufun Foundation Trust issues official receipts for tax deduction purposes.
• Donor Responsibility: Tax laws vary based on jurisdiction and individual tax status. We encourage donors to consult a qualified financial or tax advisor regarding their eligibility for specific tax benefits.
9. Foreign Contributions (FCRA Compliance)
All foreign contributions are accepted, managed, accounted for, and reported in strict compliance with applicable Indian laws, including the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 (FCRA).
