Mahatma Gandhi once quoted, “To a man with an empty stomach food is God.”  We, Edufun foundation, are serving a plate of meals to economically weaker sections of the society under our two pilot projects Akshay Rath and Khichdi Ghar. We are happy to help 585 families during COVID 19 with a monthly ration kit.  Khichadi Ghar is a rural restaurant which provides quality food at Rs. 20 per meal to laborers and free meals to needy people whereas, Akshay Rath collects food from local events, parties and weddings and distributes it to people living in poverty. We had started it with the hope to feed each and every person who sleeps empty stomach in Dhanera taluka and now we are blessed to serve more than 2,93,539 people in the last four years. The locals have been becoming aware of food waste and talking about food collection service with their relatives and friends, and consequently; we are getting at least two calls on daily bases for Akshay Rath. After successful running of these projects, we want to expand these two projects in nearby districts and later on at Gujarat level.
